Hi, I'm Shannon. I combine traditional metalsmithing with intuitive artistry, listening deeply to the energy of the materials and to the spirit of the person I create for.

The result is soulful, one-of-a-kind jewelry that honors life’s journeys, celebrates personal transformation, and carries meaning far beyond adornment. Pieces to be passed down as generational heirlooms.

my STORY

IMG_1113.heic

I have had an obsession with jewels since a young age.  I remember stringing wooden beads as a toddler and at age 11 being gifted a bead loom from my mom.

In high school, there was the recurring side hustle of macrame hemp necklaces, and later as a senior, I was introduced to silversmithing.

The skills that I have gained in apprenticeships, bench jeweler, teacher, camp counselor, and being a student are carried with me as I continues to further educate myself.  I currently study under a mentor and frequent his shop in Boulder.

From the sourcing of the stones to the elegant finishes, no detail is overlooked as I learn and evolve as a designer and crafter.

This company is not new.

Canyon Crafted is just the new name of the next chapter that goes back to it's roots of selling hemp necklaces in the parking lots of Phish shows 25 years ago. I have always been inspired by nature, feeling connected to creating and selling jewelry, but it has never existed online.

Until now.

Whether custom-designed or collected from my inspired collections, Canyon Crafted pieces are timeless keepsakes that feel like home for the heart.

Canyon Crafted offers limited custom orders and inspired pieces for sale. I am currently not in any retail locations.

studio

My work is inspired by my love of nature; it's patterns and textures as well as my love of traveling with family.

Whether it's internationally or a cross country road trip, I love observing other communities and cultures to expand my view on my collections.  Each piece is woven into the thread.
